ForeNova Technologies adds SIEM functionality to NDR solution NovaCommand

Advanced functionality allows medium-sized organisations to stay one step ahead of cyber threats.

ForeNova Technologies B.V., provider of cybersecurity solutions that provide protection for IT networks and endpoints for medium-sized organisations, announces the expansion of NDR solution NovaCommand with Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) functionality. NovaCommand customers can purchase this functionality as an add-on. With this SIEM ‘light’, organisations can increase their threat detection, analysis and response capabilities in a cost-efficient and user-friendly way, thus better protecting their corporate infrastructure. SIEM functionality will also be added to MDR solution NovaMDR.

As a simplified version of a traditional SIEM tool, ForeNova’s solution integrates with third-party products and log files. Data is recorded via all major standard protocols (at launch syslog, FTP, database, WMI, winlogbeat and snmp trap, with more planned). After recording, files are processed and stored in the database for analysis using customisable settings. NovaCommand correlates the log files with other available log files including those from network sensors and provides an overview of all alerts. Enabling ForeNova’s MDR services, ForeNova’s security experts review the log files and alerts to eliminate false positives.
